Sumod is an Assistant Professor in the Strategy and General Management area at TAPMI. He completed his Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode, an EQUIS and AMBA accredited business school, ranked amongst the top 5 B-schools in India. He completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering and post-graduation in Management from the University of Kerala.He has 8 years of industry experience and 4 years of teaching, research and consulting experience. His industry exposure includes stints with premier public and private sector organizations in India like State Bank of India and Infosys Limited. He was also associated with an international project funded by the Asian Development Bank and the Netherlands Embassy in the state of Kerala. His academic experience includes teaching postgraduate students and executive participants in management programs across India and the UAE. He is actively involved in Research, Consulting, and Management Development Programs. His research works have been published in reputed peer-reviewed journals. He is also affiliated as a consultant with top State-Owned Enterprises in India in CSR and Sustainability.
Sumod has delivered courses on Strategic Management, Principles of Management, Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability, Corporate Governance, Competitive Strategy, ESG practices in business, etc. to a wide spectrum of students and practitioners.

Sumod primarily focuses on Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Business practices in his research. He tries to explore the intersection of business strategy, environmental sustainability, and corporate social responsibility and investigate how firms create value while simultaneously addressing environmental challenges, social inequalities, and ethical dilemmas. By advancing knowledge in sustainable business practices, he aims to contribute to the development of more resilient, responsible, and socially conscious organizations.
