Vivek is a distinctive amalgam of industry and academia. He is a trained academician and a prolific researcher in sustainability and entrepreneurship. He completed his PhD in strategic management from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow. His thesis research focused on studying the impact of sustainable entrepreneurship and identifying the key elements of sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystems. His research has won multiple prestigious awards and recognitions including ‘best research paper’. His current academic curiosity lies in how ecosystems shape the entrepreneurial culture in a nation and how the ecosystems evolve themselves.With his research and advocacy, he is actively engaged in designing and building a favorable ecosystem for sustainable entrepreneurship in the G20 nations. He was a council member for the Startup20 taskforce under India’s presidency and continues to contribute to Brazil and South Africa’s presidency of the G20.Through a rich industry experience, he has gained pragmatic skills in management and leadership, with emphasis on service operations, people management, client delivery, cross cultural competence, and process outsourcing. In his last industry assignment, he served as the practice manager for digital operations and platforms with Wipro India and managed the account of a multi-million USD portfolio.
